The ceremony will be held inside City Hall at 5 p.m. Before he got into coaching, Hurley played at St. Anthony's High School for his father, Bob Hurley, and later at Seton Hall University. Hurley was also head coach at St. Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark.

Hurley is passionate about his Jersey City roots. After winning the national title, Hurley yelled "Jersey City! Jersey City Jersey City!"

Hurley is the third New Jerseyian to coach his team to a national title, joining Rollie Massimino and Gary Williams.
